The 28th of March marks a very special day for the team here at Yes Peas!, as the pea pod emoji has finally made appearances on screens across the globe with the release of Emoji 15.0 today!
After launching our βpeamojiβ campaign back in 2019, which sparked a huge response online, there was a public outcry for the introduction of an emoji for the humble pea pod to join its contemporaries in digital format such as carrot, broccoli and more recently, an onion.
Our public facing petition garnered support from as far as the US and China, and after years of campaigning and submitting our application to the Consortium (the governing body for emoji characters), weβre thrilled that our dream has finally become a reality!
You can now find our beloved emoji on your phone β simply swipe along to the food and drink section when looking to input an emoji, and share your love for peas!
