Adopt a Pea Field

Thank you to everyone who donated a pea field this Great British Pea Week. We have now official reached the limited of adoptions available but if you would still like to make a donation to FareShare, please click here. Thank you!

For the first time ever, to mark the 2021 Great British Pea Week, British growers and farmers are offering UK residents the chance to ‘adopt’ their beloved pea fields for a nominal charitable donation of £1 – or indeed, 100 p(ea).

We’d like to encourage people – young and old – to consider playing their part in driving awareness of Great British Pea Week, a week in which the vining pea industry joins forces to champion the humble frozen pea.

In order to kick off our Adopt a Pea Field initiative, Yes Peas! is delighted to have partnered with charitable organisation FareShare, dedicated to fighting hunger and tackling food waste in the UK.

To date, FareShare has provided 57.3 million meals to vulnerable people, and supported over 10,000 community and charity groups*.

To adopt your own pea field, click the link below which will take you to a page to donate a minimum of 100p (or £1), to FareShare.

Please feel free to donate what you wish, however all we ask is that you donate a minimum of 100p(ea)!

Once your donation is complete, you’ll just need to email your confirmation number to Yes Peas! along with your postal address so we can send you out your official Adoption Pack!

Britain’s pea fields will be allocated on a first come, first-served basis with only 100 fields up for adoption. Interested parties are encouraged to move fast to secure their field!

Your Adoption Pack will feature exclusive information, including:

  •   Brand-new, exclusive recipes
  •   Images and details of your pea field
  •   A thank you message from the industry
  •   Pea seeds to grow your own for 2022
